Does my daughter need to bring a car?

No. We are only three blocks from the UT campus and parking any closer to UT is extremely limited, so walking is the way the girls get to class. Many residents do bring their cars and they are wonderful about giving other residents rides when needed. The most important use of a car tends to be to get home on weekends. So many of our residents are from the same hometowns and have little trouble sharing a ride home.

What if I am not sure if I will be bringing a car?

If there is ANY possibility that you will be bringing a car, please send your parking down payment check to reserve a space when you return your contract packet. If you do not request parking when you send in your contract, you may not get a space. By late May, we will send you an invoice for the balance of your parking fee. Once this balance is paid, your parking fee is only refundable if a replacement is found for your spot. If you have changed your mind about needing a spot before the invoice is paid, please let us know and we will refund your down payment or apply the amount to your account.

What if your parking is full by the time I send in my contract?

We place your name on our parking wait list in the order it is received and we hold your check until you hear from us in late May. At that time we will let you know if you received a parking spot through Hardin House. If you do not get a spot with us, we will return your check and we will give you phone numbers for alternatives at that time.
