Summer Orientation

Can we stay at Hardin House for UT summer orientation instead of on campus?

UT requires all freshmen to stay on campus during orientation, but they do not provide any housing for the night before orientation begins. Whether or not you will be living with us in the fall, please join us the day before your session begins to get your first Hardin House experience! We offer double or triple occupancy rooms for a fee which includes dinner, breakfast and parking. Staying at Hardin House is always a great opportunity to meet other Hardin House girls and take a look at your fall room.

Parents and families can stay in The Quarters at Hardin House, our bed and breakfast style hotel located on our property. More information concerning The Quarters at Hardin House can be found on its website, www.quartershardin.com.

Do I have to be living at Hardin House for the fall to stay with you for orientation?

No. We are always happy to accommodate all females who are in Austin for the night before UT orientation begins.

How do I reserve a space for pre-orientation housing at Hardin House?

Once UT opens up registration for summer orientation, Hardin House will send an email to all those will applications on file. We will give you details of how to sign up to spend the night with us and view your fall room before your UT orientation session begins.  You are also welcome to join us the evening before each session to view your fall room even if you aren't spending the night.  Forms will  be found on our website by clicking the orientation link on our homepage. The link will become active when UT opens up registration.  Be sure to sign up with UT for orientation before sending in our pre-orientation form.  Some of their sessions fill up quickly and you may not get the session that you prefer.  Once you have confirmed your session with UT you can complete and send in our pre-orientation form.
